let's close the weekend out with a family gathering. We'll have games, entertainment for the kids,trivia, and time to catchup with our beloved family members.
The Beginning
Mrs. Emma McKeithan was inspired by God to launch became a reality on Labor Day weekend - 1979, at Poke Parkin Fayetteville, North Carolina. Co-lead with Mrs. Geneva McAllister, the family reunion tradition was kicked-off with 25 loving and faithful family members.
A Picnic with Purpose
After returning from Germany in 1983, James and Elizabeth were excited to taste their traditional southern staple, fried fish!
Out of the love for family and food, the traditional King Family Cookout was born and remains the highlight of the weekend.
